“Realme has achieved a new milestone by becoming the youngest, standalone brand to accelerate to the Top 2 position in the Indian smartphone industry, within just three years of inception,” said the brand in a statement.
Realme also became the number one brand on Flipkart with a share of 52% and had a 27% share among online smartphone brands.
The Indian smartphone industry witnessed steady growth in smartphone shipments during the month of October. Xiaomi (inclusive of Poco with a 2.7% market share) came in first with a 20% share, followed by Samsung and Vivo at 16% and 13% share, respectively.

This year Realme also achieve 100 million cumulative shipments since its launch and reached 50 million shipments in India in Q2 2021, according to Counterpoint Research.
