OPPO teased its upcoming foldable smartphone yesterday via a video. That video did give us a good idea of what to expect, but it did not show us the device from all angles. Well, OPPO’s first foldable phone is now shown from all angles thanks to Evan Blass.
Four new photos show OPPO’s first foldable phone from all sides
If you take a look at the gallery below the article, you’ll be able to see four new images that Mr. Blass shared. These images give us a lot better look at the device, that’s for sure.
You can clearly see that the phone will have three cameras on the back, and that they’ll be located in the top-left corner. A Type-C USB port is visible on the bottom, along with the main speaker grille.
The secondary display will include a display camera hole, while the main display does not have one. OPPO may not even include a camera on the main display, or will use an under-display one, we’ll see.
Those cameras on the back will protrude a bit, as OPPO decided to utilize a similar design to what the OPPO Find X3 Pro delivered. The company’s branding is present on the back side of the phone, in the bottom-right corner.
Three different color options are shown here
These photos seem to show three different color options for this device as well. We get to see a black, white, and some sort of gold-ish color variant here.
This smartphone will become official on December 15, during OPPO INNO Day 2021. That is something Pete Lau confirmed yesterday, the company’s Chief Product Officer, and OnePlus’ co-founder and CEO. OPPO and OnePlus are sister companies, by the way.
This smartphone will be quite compact, that much we do know thanks to that teaser that the company released. When folded, the phone is really petite, and that’s great. The whole point of a foldable phone is to be small when folded, and offer a larger canvas when unfolded. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is quite heavy, and a large phone even when folded, which does not suit everyone. This thing will be a lot smaller, it seems.
