About Wymah Hideaway

Wymah Hideaway is a small family run caravan park with big water views, situated at the end of the road adjacent to Wymah Ferry. It’s convenient location provides the opportunity to pass the time with many water-based activities such as boating, fishing and water-skiing, or even to just sit back, relax and unwind in the peace and quiet, whilst enjoying the picturesque views this unique part of the world has to offer.

There is no need to leave the dog at home, we are pet friendly, so any well-behaved pets on leads are welcome on our site.

We offer one double cabin and 7 terraced powered sites as well as numerous camping sites, a BBQ hut for cooking the snags, and a boat ramp.

After enjoying a brisk swim in the lake or river, why not embark on a daily adventure? If you are interested in Australian history or historical monuments and memorabilia, a quick drive to the HMAS Otway Submarine Museum in Holbrook is sure to tickle your fancy. Alternatively, you can take a short ferry ride on the Wymah Ferry across the state line down to Victoria, followed by a scenic ride or drive into the hills, or even back across the Bethanga bridge and into Albury. We are only 60 kilometres from Jingellic Hotel, and just a 30 minute drive from Thurgoona Golf Club, so if you feel like swinging a driver, or even just capping off your big day with a few frosty ales, then Wymah Hideaway is for you!

  1. … This place was a wonderful surprise discovery, for us, it was a place away from the “tourist” rat race. We were there for two nights -2 & 3 of Dec; 2013. The views were great, the facilities were spotlessly clean, and for those who like fishing this was a good place. The owners – “DAVE & SUE” were so friendly and helpful. This was the PLACE to be away from it all. Just pass the FREE Wyman Ferry in N.S.W.. The owners have certainly made this place a “life style” for themselves. ALL THE VERY BEST.

  2. I have just had my second stay with hosts David and Sue, we stayed from 25th dec. to 28th dec. and I had my two daughters and their husbands along with the 5 grand kids there and they all had a ball,
fishing, swimming and boating around the lake. all of our family members say they will be returning as the park is great to just relax with good clean facilities.
    thanks again, Sue & Dave
    Garry Reid and family

  3. Have been here twice for an overnight stay with a number of friends and each time left feeling like we have have rested and relaxed for a week with all the above activities mentioned. Australia Day was a blast with lots of great people, activities, laughs and not a care in the world. Dave and Sue treat everyone as one of the family. Definitely a place we will always come back too. A true get away experience. Thanks guys.

  4. This a beautiful location. We travelled from jingellic hotel along the dirt road travelling beside the beautiful Murray River to the Wymah Hideway. We were great by Sue and Dave (owners) who made us feel very welcomed. The fishing is great, I caught a 46cm yellow belly on worms, just off the bank below the park. We sat back that evening and looked over the water watching the bird life and the fish jumping. The next morning we caught the ferry across the water to the murray river road towards the Bellbridge. Great place to relax with no Internet and no phone service. Judy and Ray

  5. … After visiting family in Wodonga (late April 2015) we were able to spent a few days along the Murray River. Spending time back at “HIDEAWAY” which still remains a very favorite spot for us. Though the water level was low, nevertheless it was a relaxing place, and a beauty of its own. We will be back …

  6. Great spot. Away from the rush of the city. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Free Ferry service very good but be very careful if you have a motorhome over 11 metres we just “scraped” on the ferry after the driver lifted the ferry. Looking forward to another stay. Trish
